Role Description The Demi Chef De Partie is a full-time, on-site role based in Pune City, working within the café’s kitchen and bakehouse. Responsibilities include preparing and plating baked goods and light café dishes, assisting in the production of pastries and savory items, and ensuring consistency in taste, texture, and presentation. The role supports senior kitchen staff by following recipes, maintaining mise en place, managing stock rotation, and adhering to food safety and hygiene standards. The Demi Chef De Partie also helps with daily kitchen organization, cleaning, and coordination with the front-of-house team to ensure timely and smooth service. This position offers opportunities to learn and grow within a specialty coffee and European bakehouse setting.
Qualifications
- Foundational culinary skills in baking and pastry, with experience in café or bakery-style production.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene practices, and basic kitchen operations, including mise en place and stock rotation.
- Ability to follow recipes accurately, maintain quality standards, and adapt to new menu items and techniques.
- Strong teamwork, time management, and communication skills, with a customer-focused service mindset.
- Willingness to learn about specialty coffee culture and work closely with baristas and front-of-house staff.
- Prior experience in a professional kitchen or bakehouse is preferred; formal culinary education is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and peak hours as required by café operations.
