About Arteze
Arteze is a UK consultancy that helps mid-sized companies manage their suppliers and contracts better. We offer supplier relationship management, contract management, sourcing advice and Vendor Management as a Service, where our team runs the day-to-day supplier work alongside the client's own people. Most of our clients are UK manufacturers and insurers who spend £5m or more a year with suppliers. We have people in the UK and a delivery team in Hyderabad.
The role
You'll be our first marketing hire. We know who our buyers are: procurement directors, finance directors, IT directors and heads of supplier management. We need someone to reach them, get them interested and get them on a call with us.
You'll run campaigns across LinkedIn, email, Google and our website, follow up with people who show interest, and keep track of what's working. You'll use AI tools to get more done than one person normally could. You'll know you're succeeding when the right people are booking and turning up to discovery calls.
As the work grows, you'll have the chance to hire and lead your own marketing team.
You'll report to the founder and work closely with our UK senior manager, who takes the calls. Your hours will overlap with UK working hours, for example 12:30pm to 9:30pm IST.
What we need you to achieve
Your main job is to get the right people talking to us. By the end of your first year we'd expect 6 to 8 good discovery calls a month, which is enough to help us win around three new clients a year. A good call is one that actually happened, with someone who makes or influences the buying decision, at a company that fits our profile, where they told us about a real supplier, contract or cost problem.
Here is roughly how we see your first year going:
- Month 1: The basics are set up. Tracking works on the website and LinkedIn, the CRM is ready, people can book a call online, and we have a list of 300 to 500 target companies with named contacts.
- Month 2: Your first LinkedIn and email campaigns are live, and we're showing ads again to people who have visited or engaged.
- Month 3: The first good calls have happened, there's a weekly report, and we know what a lead and a call cost us.
- Month 6: At least 4 good calls a month, at a cost we've agreed together.
- Month 12: 6 to 8 good calls a month, with new client wins coming from marketing.
What you'll do
- Build and keep up a list of target companies and contacts with the founder.
- Look out for signs a company might need us, such as hiring for supplier or contract roles, a new procurement or finance leader, or a big contract coming up for renewal.
- Plan each campaign around a clear offer, such as our free three-week Contract Value Recovery review.
- Run LinkedIn ads, including ads from the founder's own profile, lead forms and message ads.
- Write and send cold email campaigns that follow the rules, and follow up with people who showed interest but didn't book.
- Show ads again to people who visited our website, watched a video or engaged with a post.
- Run Google search ads for people looking for services like ours.
- Build landing pages on our website and a simple way to book a call.
- Pass every enquiry to the founder or senior manager quickly, with notes on who they are.
- Produce ads, posts, short videos and one-page guides, using AI tools and freelance designers where needed.
- Set up AI agents to help with research, personalisation, first drafts and reporting, and check everything before it goes out.
- Track spend, results and costs, and share a short weekly report.
- Make sure everything follows UK GDPR, PECR and each platform's advertising rules.
What you'll need
- At least 5 years in B2B marketing, with 3 or more years running campaigns where you were judged on meetings or pipeline.
- Experience running campaigns yourself, with your own budget, aimed at senior people in the UK, US or Europe.
- Strong hands-on LinkedIn Ads experience, including audiences, lead forms, retargeting and tracking.
- Experience with account-based marketing alongside a sales team.
- Comfortable with HubSpot or a similar CRM, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and an email outreach tool such as Apollo or Lemlist.
- Clear, natural written English that a UK finance director would be happy to read.
- Good with numbers. You can tell us what a meeting cost you and what you did to bring that cost down.
- You use AI tools every day for research, writing and analysis.
- A degree in any subject, or equivalent experience.
It would help if you have marketed a service or software bought by procurement, finance or IT teams, run Google search ads, or set up AI agents or tools like Clay. This role probably isn't for you if your background is mainly consumer marketing, influencer work or SEO.
What we offer
- The chance to build our marketing from the ground up and make it your own.
- The opportunity to grow into a leadership role and build your own team as the business grows.
- A good fixed salary, plus a bonus based on your performance and the deals your campaigns help us win.
- A separate budget for advertising and tools.
- Working directly with the founder, who has more than 25 years' experience in vendor management.
How to apply
Apply with your CV and a short note about a B2B campaign you ran. Tell us who it was aimed at, which channels you used, what you spent each month, how many meetings it produced, what each meeting cost and what you'd do differently. We won't shortlist applications that don't include these numbers.
