Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for all academic activities of the institution.
- Develop, implement, and monitor academic policies, plans, and objectives.
- Ensure effective implementation of curriculum, academic calendar, examinations, and teaching-learning processes.
- Monitor academic performance of departments, faculty, and students.
- Lead faculty recruitment, development, appraisal, and performance management.
- Promote faculty development, research, publications, innovation, and industry/academic collaborations.
- Review and enhance curriculum in line with current industry and academic requirements.
- Ensure quality standards in teaching, learning, assessment, and academic delivery.
- Coordinate accreditation, academic audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance.
- Promote student development, mentoring, internships, placements, and skill enhancement.
- Conduct regular academic reviews and take corrective actions wherever required.
- Coordinate with HODs, faculty members, and administrative departments for smooth academic operations.
- Prepare and present academic reports, performance reviews, and improvement plans to the Management.
- Drive continuous improvement and overall academic excellence of the institution.
Educational Qualification
- Ph.D. in any discipline is mandatory.
- A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized university.
- Additional qualifications in academic administration, education management, or institutional leadership will be an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 10–15 years of relevant experience in academics, teaching, academic administration, or institutional management.
- Prior experience in a senior academic leadership position such as Dean, Principal, Director, HOD, or equivalent will be preferred.
