Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Database Specialist role based in Pune. The Database Specialist will manage and maintain event-related databases, including delegate, visitor, and partner records, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and security. Responsibilities include designing and optimizing database structures, performing data modeling to support marketing campaigns and event operations, and running regular data quality checks and clean-ups. The role involves creating reports and dashboards to support business decisions, analyzing attendee data and trends, and supporting internal teams with data extraction, segmentation, and list generation. The Database Specialist will collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to improve data processes and support international conference and exhibition activities.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Databases and Database Administration to manage, secure, and optimize event data systems.
- Candidates should possess skills in Database Design and Data Modeling to structure data efficiently and support reporting and analytics needs.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret data, identify trends, and support strategic decisions for conferences and exhibitions.
- Relevant experience with relational database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and query languages such as SQL.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms or event management software and basic understanding of data privacy and security practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, with strong communication and documentation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior experience in events, conferences, or a related industry is an advantage.
