Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Database Administrator (DBA) with 10+ years of hands-on experience in database administration, performance tuning, backup/recovery, troubleshooting, and production support. The candidate should have strong expertise in managing enterprise databases and ensuring high availability, security, reliability, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain database environments.
Perform database monitoring, performance tuning, capacity planning, and optimization.
Manage database backup, restore, recovery, and disaster recovery activities.
Troubleshoot database performance, connectivity, and production issues.
Manage high availability, replication, clustering, and failover environments.
Perform database migrations, upgrades, and environment refreshes.
Implement database security, access controls, roles, and privileges.
Monitor database health, space utilization, jobs, logs, and alerts.
Support production, UAT, development, and test environments.
Work closely with application, infrastructure, and development teams to resolve database-related issues.
Prepare technical documentation, operational procedures, and incident reports.
Participate in on-call/24x7 production support and major incident resolution when required.
Required Skills
10+ years of experience as a Database Administrator.
Strong hands-on experience with one or more enterprise databases such as Oracle or SQL Server
Strong knowledge of SQL and database architecture.
Experience in database performance tuning and troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of backup and recovery strategies.
Experience with high availability, disaster recovery, replication, and clustering.
Good knowledge of database security and access management.
Experience with database monitoring and automation/scripting.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
