Bachelors in CS, IT, or related field 5-8 years in database development/admin Proficient in SQL Server, PostgreSQL or MySQL. Strong SQL and optimization skills. Experience in schema design and data modelling Knowledge of data security/compliance Familiarity
Database Design & Modeling, Performance Tuning & Optimization, Operations: Availability, Backup & Recovery, Security, Compliance & Auditing. Release Change Management, Monitoring & Incident Response Data Quality & Lifecycle Management.
Qualifications
- Strong database administration skills, including experience with Database Administration and Databases in production environments.
- Proficiency in Database Design, including schema modeling, indexing strategies, and performance optimization.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve database-related issues, with solid Troubleshooting skills for performance, security, and availability.
- Experience configuring and managing Replication and other high-availability and disaster recovery solutions.
- Hands-on experience with relational database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server; familiarity with NoSQL databases is beneficial.
- Knowledge of SQL, query tuning, and stored procedures; understanding of database security best practices and access control.
- Comfort working in a web development environment, collaborating with development and DevOps teams on application integrations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to document processes and work effectively in a collaborative, on-site setting.
