Role Description This is a full‑time remote role for a Data Scraper Expert. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining automated data scraping pipelines from diverse online sources, including websites, APIs, and structured/unstructured data repositories. The Data Scraper Expert will clean, normalize, and organize scraped data, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and usability for analytics and reporting. Daily tasks include monitoring scraper performance, troubleshooting failures, optimizing scraping logic to handle changing site structures, and maintaining documentation of data sources and processes. The role will collaborate with analytics, marketing, and product teams to understand data requirements, ensure compliance with data usage policies, and deliver datasets that support lead generation, market intelligence, and strategic decision‑making.
Qualifications
- Strong data analytics and data analysis skills to interpret scraped data and generate actionable insights.
- Excellent analytical skills for problem‑solving, pattern recognition, and performance optimization of scraping workflows.
- Experience in data management, including data cleansing, validation, and organization for downstream use.
- Knowledge of data modeling concepts to structure scraped data for dashboards, reports, and storage solutions.
- Proficiency with web scraping tools and libraries (e.g., Python, BeautifulSoup, Scrapy, Selenium, or similar technologies).
- Understanding of APIs, HTTP requests, HTML/CSS, and JSON/XML formats, with attention to ethical scraping and compliance.
- Experience working with databases and data warehouses (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) for storing and querying large datasets.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple data pipelines, and communicate clearly with cross‑functional teams.
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Background in marketing, real estate, or business intelligence is a plus.
