Data Scientist — Credit Risk / Underwriting
📍 Gurgaon | 2–4 years | Full-time
What you'll own
• Build and ship underwriting models using bureau, transaction and alternate data
• Own the complete ML lifecycle: feature design → training → validation → production → monitoring → recalibration
• Develop eligibility and routing logic across partner lenders
• Work on portfolio analytics — delinquency, early-warning signals and collections prioritisation
What we're looking for
• 2–4 years of experience building and shipping ML models used in real-world decisions
• Strong Python and SQL skills; hands-on experience with gradient boosting
• Strong understanding of model validation, drift and live model performance
• Someone who wants to own business-critical decisions, not just build notebooks
Good to have
• Experience in credit risk, underwriting or scorecards
• Familiarity with bureau data, DPD, vintage curves and approval-rate vs. loss trade-offs
• Experience working with alternate data — SMS, bank statements, device data
• Exposure to co-lending or partner-lender setups
