Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Data Science Faculty role based in Chennai. The Data Science Faculty will design and deliver engaging classroom sessions and workshops on core data science topics such as statistics, machine learning, data visualization, and programming for data analysis. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing teaching materials, creating assignments and assessments, mentoring students on projects, and offering guidance on technical concepts and data science career paths. The role involves continuously updating course content to reflect current industry practices, collaborating with other faculty members to refine curricula, and contributing to bootcamps and specialized training programs. The faculty member will also support placement-focused initiatives by helping learners build portfolios and prepare for data science interviews.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong data science skills, including statistics, machine learning, and data analysis using tools such as Python or R.
- Candidates should possess practical experience with data visualization tools and libraries, such as Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib, or Seaborn.
- Candidates should possess experience in designing and delivering technical training or teaching, with the ability to explain complex topics in a clear, structured manner.
- Candidates should possess solid programming and software development practices relevant to data science, including working with real-world datasets and version control tools like Git.
- Candidates should possess excellent communication and presentation skills, with a strong learner-centered approach and the ability to mentor diverse students.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, along with prior industry or academic experience in data science.
- Experience with tech interview preparation, curriculum development, and education technology platforms will be considered an added advantage.
