Data Governance & AI Governance SME
Location: Bangalore
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Data Governance & AI Governance SME to establish and drive enterprise-level data governance practices while supporting the organization’s growing AI/ML and Generative AI ecosystem. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in data governance, data quality, metadata, lineage, and governance frameworks, along with hands-on exposure to AI Governance initiatives.
Key Requirements
* 8+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Quality, or related data disciplines.
* 2–4+ years of experience working with AI/ML, Generative AI, or AI Governance initiatives.
* Strong understanding of Data Governance frameworks, policies, standards, and operating models.
* Experience in defining and implementing data ownership, stewardship, and accountability models.
* Strong knowledge of data quality processes, controls, monitoring, and remediation.
* Experience in defining and maintaining metadata management and data lineage requirements.
* Knowledge of governance controls to ensure data is trusted, secure, compliant, and fit for purpose.
* Experience enabling high-quality and governed data for AI/ML and Generative AI consumption.
* Understanding of AI governance, responsible AI, data privacy, risk, and compliance concepts.
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work with business, data, technology, and AI teams.
* Ability to define governance processes and translate business requirements into practical governance standards and controls.
* Experience working in enterprise-level data or AI transformation programs will be an added advantage.
