About GentleGentle is building the next generation of intelligent fintech products that help users make better investment decisions through data, analytics, AI, and automation.
We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our growing team and take ownership of building reliable, scalable data pipelines and platforms that power our analytics, AI models, and business intelligence.
The RoleAs a Data Engineer, you will work closely with our Product, Backend, DevOps, and Analytics teams to build and optimize our data infrastructure.
You will be responsible for:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Building automated data ingestion and transformation workflows.
- Developing and managing AWS-based data lakes and analytical datasets.
- Working with AWS Glue, Amazon Athena, S3, and PostgreSQL.
- Building data processing workflows using Databricks and Apache Spark.
- Writing and optimizing complex SQL queries and database performance.
- Implementing data quality, validation, monitoring, and governance practices.
- Working with structured and semi-structured datasets at scale.
- Improving pipeline reliability, processing efficiency, and infrastructure costs.
- Contributing to scalable data architecture and technical decisions.
What We’re Looking For- 3–4 years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering.
- Strong experience with AWS Glue, Amazon Athena, PostgreSQL, and Databricks.
- Advanced SQL and strong database optimization skills.
- Solid understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehousing, and data lake architecture.
- Hands-on experience with Python and Apache Spark.
- Experience building and managing production-grade data pipelines.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
Good to Have
Experience with:
- Apache Airflow
- Kafka or other event-streaming technologies
- AWS Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch, and Secrets Manager
- Git and CI/CD pipelines
- Terraform or CloudFormation
- Delta Lake and Lakehouse Architecture
- FinTech/BFSI or financial market data
- AI/ML data preparation
