Role Description The Cyber Security Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Bhopal, responsible for safeguarding EMRI’s emergency response and support systems. This role oversees the design, implementation, and monitoring of security policies, controls, and technologies to protect networks, applications, and data. The Cyber Security Manager will lead incident detection and response, conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests, and coordinate remediation efforts with IT and operations teams. Daily tasks include reviewing security alerts, managing access controls, ensuring regulatory and policy compliance, and maintaining security documentation and reporting. The role also involves training staff on security best practices, collaborating with external partners and auditors, and continuously improving EMRI’s overall cyber resilience.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in cyber security management, including threat assessment, risk analysis, and security architecture design.
- Hands-on expertise with network security, endpoint protection, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and identity/access management tools.
- Proficiency in incident response, digital forensics, log analysis, and security monitoring using SIEM or related platforms.
- Knowledge of relevant security standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, HIPAA-equivalent for healthcare data, data privacy regulations).
- Strong skills in policy development, security governance, and documentation of procedures, controls, and compliance reports.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate complex security topics clearly, and conduct security awareness training for staff.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Technology, or a related field; professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent are highly beneficial.
- Experience in mission-critical or public safety environments, healthcare IT, or large-scale service organizations is an advantage.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and capacity to work on-site in a fast-paced, high-impact operational setting.
