Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in JNPT as a Custom House Assistant for the night shift at the JNPT location, with candidates from Vashi to Panvel preferred. The role involves coordinating import and export documentation, assisting in customs clearance processes, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The Custom House Assistant will liaise with customs officials, transporters, and internal teams to track shipments and resolve operational issues. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, updating systems with shipment status, preparing basic reports, and supporting smooth cargo movement during night operations. The position also requires timely communication with stakeholders and adherence to company policies and service standards.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of customs processes with skills in Customs Brokerage.
- Effective Communication skills for coordinating with transport partners, and internal teams.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in documentation, and ability to work reliably during night shifts.
- Prior experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or custom house operations is preferred.
- Familiarity with basic computer applications and documentation software.
- Ability to commute reliably to JNPT; candidates residing between Vashi and Panvel are preferred.
