Learning Experience Designer – Course Design, Content Development & Academic Quality

DSEA is the academic and learning division of Dr. Shroff Eye Care, focused on developing high-quality education and training programs for ophthalmologists, optometrists, nurses, allied ophthalmic personnel, technicians, and other healthcare professionals.

Position Summary
We are looking for a Learning Experience Designer to manage the end-to-end development of educational programs, including curriculum design, instructional design, content development, assessment, clinical validation, quality assurance, and LMS deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design competency-based certificate, diploma, fellowship, CME and CPD programs.
- Develop curriculum structures, learning pathways, lesson plans, and course blueprints.
- Apply instructional design methodologies such as ADDIE, SAM, Backward Design, and adult learning principles.
- Develop learner-friendly educational content including course materials, clinical guides, SOPs, case studies, e-learning modules, videos, presentations, and microlearning content.
- Design MCQs, case-based assessments, OSCEs, practical checklists, rubrics, and competency assessments.
- Ensure content is clinically accurate, evidence-based, referenced, and aligned with healthcare standards.
- Collaborate with ophthalmologists, faculty, SMEs, nurses, optometrists, multimedia teams, and academic leadership.
- Manage course deployment and learning activities through Moodle or similar LMS platforms.
- Conduct content reviews, version control, quality checks, and periodic curriculum updates.
- Analyse learner/faculty feedback and continuously improve learning programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Medical Education, Nursing, Optometry, Life Sciences, Allied Health Sciences, Public Health, or a related field.
- Certification in Instructional Design/Medical Writing will be an advantage.
Experience
- 3–7 years of experience in instructional design, curriculum development, healthcare/medical content creation, learning experience design, or academic program development.
- Healthcare, hospital, medical education, or e-learning experience preferred.
- Experience with Moodle or similar LMS is an advantage.
