Role Description The Cost Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Bengaluru Area. The role involves overseeing project cost planning, monitoring, and control across various assignments, ensuring that budgets are accurate, realistic, and aligned with client objectives. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing cost estimates and budgets, conducting cost audits, performing quantity take-offs, and supporting tender evaluations and contract administration. The Cost Manager collaborates with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders to analyze cost data, identify risks, propose value engineering options, and ensure compliance with contractual and procurement requirements. The role also includes preparing clear cost reports, maintaining up-to-date documentation, and contributing to process improvements and best practices within the cost consulting function.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in cost consulting, cost planning, and cost auditing, with the ability to manage project budgets and financial controls.
- Practical experience in quantity surveying, including measurement, quantity take-offs, and preparation of bills of quantities.
- Knowledge of contracts and procurement processes, including tendering, bid evaluation, contract administration, and commercial risk assessment.
- Proficiency in using relevant software tools for cost estimation, spreadsheets, and project documentation; familiarity with industry-standard QS or costing software is an advantage.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear reports and interact professionally with clients and project stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or a related discipline; professional certifications in cost management or quantity surveying are a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work on-site in a team-oriented environment, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines while maintaining quality and accuracy.
