- Protect PHI through secure access controls, encryption, audit logging, and appropriate data-retention practices.
- Build monitoring for call quality, task completion, latency, accuracy, cost, and failure rates.
- Review call transcripts and recordings to identify and correct conversation failures.
- Collaborate with RCM specialists, product managers, compliance teams, and software engineers.
- Document system architecture, workflows, testing standards, and operational procedures.
Required Qualifications

- Understanding of speech-to-text and text-to-speech technologies.
- Experience with telephony concepts such as SIP, call routing, transfers, and DTMF.
- Knowledge of prompt design, tool calling, retrieval, guardrails, and structured outputs.
- Experience deploying and monitoring cloud-based production applications.
- Strong debugging, automated testing, and system-design skills.
- Ability to convert complex business workflows into reliable conversational experiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with healthcare, medical billing, or revenue cycle management.
- Understanding of HIPAA, PHI protection, and healthcare security requirements.
- Familiarity with EHR and practice-management system integrations.
- Knowledge of HL7, FHIR, X12 healthcare transactions, or payer workflows.
- Experience with platforms such as Twilio, Amazon Connect, Azure Communication Services, or similar technologies.
- Experience evaluating voice agents using automated and human-reviewed quality metrics.
- Understanding of multilingual voice-agent design.
Success Measures
- High task-completion and call-resolution rates.
- Accurate capture and transfer of information into RCM systems.
- Low conversation latency and natural interaction quality.
- Reliable human escalation when automation cannot safely continue.
- Reduced manual work without compromising accuracy, compliance, or patient experience.
- Stable production performance with measurable monitoring and auditability.

- Security and patient privacy by design.
- Clear communication and strong ownership.
- Measurable improvements based on real call outcomes.
