We're not looking for a "content ninja" or a "rockstar wordsmith." We're looking for someone who actually likes to write, reads more than they post about, and wants to get good at the unglamorous parts of marketing that make the glamorous parts work.
If you've ever rewritten a LinkedIn post four times because the third draft still felt "off," you'll fit right in here.
Who we are
The Wise Idiot is a content and marketing agency. We work with 400+ clients across BFSI, fintech, SaaS, and a few industries most agencies don't bother understanding properly. We're LinkedIn-first by philosophy, not because it's trendy, but because we think most brands are still writing for platforms instead of for people.
We're small, opinionated, and allergic to jargon like "synergy" and "leverage." If a sentence needs a thesaurus to sound smart, we cut it.
The role
As a Content Marketing Executive, you'll work closely with the Content Marketing Manager to execute and support content initiatives across multiple client accounts. This is a hands-on role: copywriting, LinkedIn-first content, and strategic support, in that order of how often you'll actually be doing them.
You'll work with writers, editors, clients, and internal teams to make sure things ship on time and don't read like they were written by a committee.
What you'll actually be doing
- Help plan and execute content marketing strategies that are tied to actual client goals, not vanity metrics
- Support client requirements alongside the Customer Success Manager
- Write, edit, and sharpen short-form content: LinkedIn posts, social copy, marketing collateral
- Take a crack at long-form content too - blogs, articles, landing pages - if that's where your strength lies
- Contribute to LinkedIn-first content marketing, both profile-led (personal branding) and brand-led
- Own content calendars, timelines, and publishing schedules so nothing slips through
- Coordinate with in-house writers, editors, and external consultants
- Help manage vendors and freelancers on content projects
What we're looking for
- Strong copywriting instincts, especially for short-form and LinkedIn content
- Some experience writing or editing for LinkedIn and social platforms
- A working understanding of content strategy, not just content production
- Comfort in client-facing situations, or at least assisting in content/account management
- Exposure to Finance, Fintech, SaaS, or digital marketing content (big plus, not a dealbreaker)
- The discipline to maintain editorial calendars and actually follow content guidelines
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of SEO, content marketing, and CMS tools
- An understanding of how content travels - search, LinkedIn, social, email - and why the same message doesn't work the same way everywhere
Bonus points if you
- Genuinely enjoy working with clients and cross-functional teams, not just tolerate it
- Are curious about Fintech, BFSI, and SaaS, even if you don't know them yet
- Can work independently in a remote setup and hit deadlines without someone checking in every hour
- Have a reliable internet connection and show up during working hours (we know, we know, but someone has to say it)

We believe in doing fewer things, better. We'd rather you take an extra day and get a headline right than ship five average ones on time. We give direct feedback, expect you to push back when you disagree, and don't do politics because we genuinely don't have the patience for it.
You'll be trusted with real client work early, not busywork. You'll also be told when something you wrote isn't good enough, clearly and without cushioning, because that's how you actually get better at this.
