Company Description Superfan.ng (SPNG) is an edtech learning platform focused on African languages and cultures. The platform uses a gamified, quiz-first approach to test deep knowledge of African proverbs, traditions, rites of passage, festivals, folklore, and customs. Designed for Africans and the diaspora, SPNG aims to make cultural learning engaging, interactive, and accessible. By combining language learning with cultural immersion, SPNG supports users in strengthening their connection to diverse African heritages.
Role Description The Content Creator will develop engaging, culturally grounded content for Superfan.ng’s quizzes, lessons, social channels, and community initiatives. Day-to-day tasks include researching African languages and cultural topics, writing and editing quiz questions and short-form educational content, and collaborating with product and design teams to ensure content aligns with learning objectives and brand voice. The role also involves planning content calendars, repurposing content for different channels, and analyzing engagement metrics to improve content quality and impact. This is a full-time remote role, requiring regular communication with a distributed team and the ability to manage deadlines independently.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in content creation, including writing, editing, and storytelling for digital platforms.
- Experience with educational or edtech content, curriculum-style structuring, and learner-focused material.
- Familiarity with African languages and cultures, or demonstrated interest and willingness to research and learn deeply.
- Ability to use content and social tools (e.g., CMS platforms, basic design tools, social media management tools).
- Comfort with data-driven decision-making, including interpreting basic engagement metrics and feedback.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proven ability to work remotely, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
- Relevant education or experience in communications, linguistics, education, media, or related fields is beneficial.
