We're hiring
ESG Consulting Interns to join Oren's Climate & Sustainability practice.
Oren (Maroon Oak Technologies) helps companies measure, manage and report their
ESG performance. We pair a full ESG consulting practice carbon accounting,
materiality, climate risk, decarbonization and disclosure with our own
platform, the Oren Sustainability Hub. Our clients are listed and high-growth
companies across manufacturing, pharma, chemicals, financial services, real
estate and FMCG, reporting under BRSR, GRI, CSRD/ESRS, CDP, TCFD and EcoVadis.

THIS IS NOT A SHADOWING PROGRAMME
From your first weeks you'll be on live client engagements, working alongside
our consultants on deliverables that go to sustainability heads, CXOs and
boards. You'll see how an ESG strategy actually gets built, argued for and
implemented inside a real company — the data, the workshops, the pushback,
the deadlines and the deployment.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Work on live client deliverables end-to-end — from raw data to the version
that goes to the client
• Perform GHG calculations across Scope 1, 2 and 3 — emission factors, unit
conversions, boundaries, and documenting your workings
• Draft sections of sustainability and disclosure reports (BRSR, GRI, CDP,
EcoVadis) and support the review cycles that follow
• Analyse ESG data — clean and reconcile client submissions, spot anomalies
and gaps, turn spreadsheets into findings
• Build client presentations and board-level decks — structure the story,
build the exhibits, get the detail right
• Run the project-management layer: trackers, timelines, action logs, and
chasing the open items that keep a project moving
• Support deployment of the Oren Sustainability Hub at client sites, including
user onboarding and troubleshooting
• Develop content — training modules, guidance notes and knowledge assets
The role is client-facing and may involve travel to client plants and offices.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
• A graduate or post-graduate degree in any discipline — we care more about
how you think than what you studied
• Solid Excel (formulas, pivots, clean data handling) and PowerPoint
• Comfort with numbers — units, conversions, ratios, and the instinct to
sanity-check a figure that looks wrong
• Clear written and spoken English, and the confidence to speak to a client
• Genuine interest in sustainability, climate and ESG, and the curiosity to
go and read up on what you don't know
• Organised and deadline-reliable, with real attention to detail
• Available full-time for the full six months, based in or able to relocate
to Pune
Nice to have: coursework or a certification in sustainability, environmental
science, energy or climate · awareness of BRSR, GRI, the GHG Protocol, CDP or
EcoVadis · exposure to GHG accounting or emission factors · Power BI, SQL or
Python · content or training-material writing · a prior internship in
consulting or a corporate sustainability team.
