Role Description The Construction Manager – Mechanical will oversee mechanical works for building and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines. This full-time, on-site role based in India involves planning and coordinating mechanical construction activities, supervising site teams, and managing contractors and vendors. The role includes reviewing mechanical designs and MEP drawings, monitoring installation quality for HVAC, plumbing, and related systems, and resolving technical issues that arise during construction. The Construction Manager – Mechanical will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and client representatives, prepare progress reports, support cost and resource control, and ensure that all mechanical works are executed in line with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Mechanical Engineering skills, including knowledge of HVAC, piping, and building services.
- Candidates should possess practical expertise in Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) systems, including plumbing design and installation.
- Candidates should possess proven Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, and coordination of construction activities.
- Candidates should possess effective Team Management skills, including supervision of site staff and collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline; advanced certifications in construction or MEP are an advantage.
- Experience as a Mechanical or MEP Construction Manager in commercial, residential, or industrial projects, preferably with on-site leadership responsibility.
- Solid understanding of relevant codes, safety standards, and quality control procedures in mechanical and MEP construction.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with construction management software and basic MS Office tools for documentation and reporting.
