Role Description This full-time, on-site Concrete Technology Specialist & QA/QC role is based in Chengalpattu. The role involves overseeing concrete production and placement, ensuring mix designs meet project specifications, and monitoring formwork, flatwork, and related activities for structural integrity and quality. The specialist will perform routine inspections, conduct field and laboratory tests on concrete, review technical documentation, and maintain quality records in line with QA/QC standards. Daily responsibilities include coordinating with site engineers, equipment operators, and carpentry teams, identifying and resolving quality issues, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. The role also requires contributing to process improvements, training site personnel on concrete best practices, and supporting project timelines through effective planning and communication.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Formwork and Carpentry for concrete structures and finishes.
- Candidates should possess practical experience with Heavy Equipment used in concrete placement and site operations.
- Candidates should possess applied knowledge of Flatwork and Ready Mix Concrete, including mix design, pouring, and finishing techniques.
- Candidates should possess understanding of QA/QC processes, concrete testing methods, and standards relevant to construction projects.
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working on commercial construction sites, with familiarity in safety regulations and site coordination.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications, with strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary site teams.
