Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Quality Assurance Engineer role based in Siliguri. The Quality Assurance Engineer will design, document, and execute test cases to verify the quality and reliability of software and systems used in the company’s operations. The role includes performing manual testing, identifying defects, tracking issues, and collaborating with development and operations teams to ensure timely resolution. The engineer will participate in test planning, maintain testing documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and standards. Routine responsibilities also include reporting test results, supporting root cause analysis, and helping ensure compliance with internal and external quality requirements.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Quality Assurance and Software Testing to ensure systems meet defined standards and requirements.
- Candidates should possess skills in Test Execution and Test Cases to plan, run, and document effective test scenarios.
- Candidates should possess experience in Manual Testing to validate functionality, usability, and reliability of applications and tools.
- Candidates should possess analytical and problem-solving skills to investigate defects, support root cause analysis, and suggest improvements.
- Candidates should possess clear written and verbal communication skills for documenting results and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with QA tools or frameworks and basic understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Candidates should possess a relevant technical qualification, such as a diploma or degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or mining environments and knowledge of safety and compliance standards are beneficial.
