Job details:
Artitude Home is a Singapore-founded luxury home fragrance brand built at the intersection of art, fragrance and design.
With a growing international footprint across the GCC, Europe and Asia, Artitude Home works with leading department stores, distributors, retailers and e-commerce partners while continuing to expand its global wholesale and retail presence.
As we enter our next stage of growth, we are looking for a hands-on Commercial Finance & Operations Manager who can bring strong financial discipline, commercial thinking and operational control to the business.
The Role
This is not a traditional accounting role and it is not a purely strategic FP&A position.
We are looking for someone who enjoys getting into the detail of a growing consumer business — understanding margins, pricing, inventory, freight, customer profitability, working capital and operating costs — and turning those numbers into practical decisions.
The core objective of the role is simple:
Help Artitude Home grow profitably and build a clear, measurable path to positive EBITDA and sustainable cash flow.
You will work closely with the Founder and the wider commercial and operations teams across Singapore, Europe, the Middle East and our supply chain partners.
Key ResponsibilitiesCommercial Finance & Profitability
Own and continuously improve our understanding of profitability across the business.
This includes:
- Gross margin and contribution margin analysis
- Profitability by SKU, collection, customer, channel and market
- Landed-cost calculations incorporating production, freight, duties, warehousing and fulfilment
- Distributor and wholesale pricing analysis
- Retail and e-commerce margin analysis
- Pricing recommendations and scenario modelling
- Promotional and discount profitability
- Customer and account-level profitability
- Identifying margin leakage and opportunities for margin improvement
You should be able to clearly answer:
Where are we making money, where are we losing money, and what should we change?
Budgeting, Forecasting & Path to Profitability
Take ownership of the company's financial planning model and ensure it remains a practical management tool.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintain and update the annual budget
- Monthly actual vs budget reporting
- Rolling forecasts
- Revenue and gross-margin forecasting
- Operating expense management
- Break-even analysis
- EBITDA planning
- Cash-flow forecasting
- Working-capital monitoring
- Scenario modelling based on different revenue levels
- Identify actions required to achieve profitability
The role should provide management with a clear monthly view of:
Revenue → Gross Margin → Contribution → EBITDA → Cash
Commercial Performance
Work closely with the Founder and sales team to understand the commercial performance of the business.
This includes:
- Sales performance versus targets
- Performance by market, distributor and retailer
- Opening orders and reorder analysis
- Commercial terms and margin implications
- Distributor economics
- Wholesale coefficients and pricing
- Payment terms and receivables
- Sales pipeline visibility
- Evaluating the financial impact of new markets and customers
The objective is not simply to report sales but to understand the quality and profitability of revenue.
Inventory & Operations
Take a hands-on role in ensuring smooth operations across the business.
Responsibilities include:
- Inventory planning and monitoring
- Stock visibility across warehouses and markets
- Replenishment planning
- Slow-moving and ageing inventory analysis
- Purchase planning
- Coordination with suppliers and warehouse partners
- Freight and logistics cost monitoring
- Fulfilment-cost analysis
- Improving inventory turns
- Supporting order fulfilment and operational problem-solving
- Ensuring commercial, finance and inventory information remains aligned
Financial & Operational Controls
Work with our accountants, bookkeepers and external partners to ensure accurate financial information and good operating discipline.
This includes:
- Ensuring invoices and purchase orders are properly recorded
- Monitoring receivables and payment collections
- Reviewing supplier payments
- Maintaining cost and pricing databases
- Ensuring inventory reconciles with financial records
- Supporting month-end reporting
- Establishing simple but effective internal processes and controls
The role is expected to oversee and use accounting information rather than spend the majority of its time performing bookkeeping.
Founder Dashboard & Management Reporting
Create a concise monthly management dashboard covering:
- Revenue
- Gross margin %
- Contribution margin
- EBITDA
- Cash position
- Accounts receivable
- Inventory value
- Inventory ageing
- Sales by market/channel
- Customer profitability
- Key operating expenses
- Forecast versus budget
The ability to turn complex financial information into clear, actionable management insights is essential.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who is:
- Commercially minded
- Highly analytical
- Hands-on and comfortable working with detail
- Strong with Excel and financial modelling
- Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment
- Able to move between finance and operations
- Comfortable challenging costs and commercial assumptions
- Organised and process-driven
- Pragmatic rather than overly corporate
- Able to communicate financial information simply
- Comfortable working directly with a Founder
You should enjoy understanding the mechanics of a business — from product cost and freight through to selling price, customer margin and ultimately EBITDA.
Experience
Ideally 6–10 years of relevant experience across commercial finance, finance business partnering, business finance or finance & operations.
Experience in one or more of the following would be particularly relevant:
Luxury / Beauty / Fragrance / Fashion / Home & Lifestyle / FMCG / Retail / Consumer Goods / E-commerce
Experience working with physical products and inventory is strongly preferred.
International wholesale or distributor experience would be an advantage.
What Success Looks Like
Within the first 3–6 months, we would expect this person to have:
- Established reliable SKU and customer-level margin reporting
- Built clear landed-cost visibility across markets
- Taken full ownership of the budget and rolling forecast
- Established a monthly Founder dashboard
- Identified the biggest opportunities for margin improvement
- Improved inventory and working-capital visibility
- Established clear customer and market profitability reporting
- Identified unnecessary operating costs
- Created a measurable roadmap towards EBITDA profitability
- Improved the overall operating rhythm and financial discipline of the business
The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to play a central role in building the commercial and operational foundations of a growing international luxury consumer brand.
The role offers significant exposure to the Founder and the wider business and would suit someone who wants to be directly involved in building a profitable business — not simply reporting its numbers.
