Role Description The Collections Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Malappuram. This role is responsible for overseeing daily collections operations, including managing collection agents, monitoring performance, and ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory guidelines. The Collections Manager will design and refine collection strategies, review portfolio performance, and implement process improvements based on data and analytics. The role also includes handling escalated cases, coordinating with clients and internal stakeholders, preparing regular reports, and supporting training and coaching initiatives for the collections team. The Collections Manager is expected to maintain high ethical standards while achieving recovery targets and enhancing the borrower experience.
Qualifications
- Experience in collections or credit operations, with proven ability to manage teams, set targets, and oversee day-to-day collections workflows.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, including proficiency with spreadsheets, dashboards, and data-driven performance tracking.
- Solid understanding of collections regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices in responsible lending and recovery.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution abilities when dealing with borrowers, clients, and internal stakeholders.
- Organizational and time-management skills, with the capacity to prioritize tasks, handle escalations, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort with digital tools, CRM or collections platforms, and technology-driven process improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field; relevant certifications in credit management or collections are an advantage.
- Prior experience in financial services, lending, or fintech environments is preferred, especially in supervisory or managerial roles.
- Commitment to ethical practices, customer-centric approaches, and continuous learning in collections strategies and regulations.
