Role Description The Collections Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Jhansi, responsible for overseeing and optimizing the collections process. The role includes managing a team of collection officers, monitoring daily collection activities, and ensuring timely follow-up with customers regarding overdue accounts. The Collections Manager will analyze portfolio performance, implement collection strategies, and maintain accurate records and reports. This position also involves coordinating with internal departments, resolving customer issues professionally, and ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in collections management, credit control, or recovery operations within financial services or related sectors.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, including the ability to coach, motivate, and monitor field and office-based staff.
- Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and use of collection or CRM software to track performance and optimize processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills for engaging with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Sound knowledge of lending practices, collection procedures, and basic regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to set targets, manage workflows, and achieve collection goals under time pressure.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, commerce, or a related field; relevant certifications in credit or collections are an advantage.
- Strong ethical standards, attention to detail, and willingness to work on-site in Jhansi with occasional local travel as required.
