Role Description The Cluster Head is a full-time, on-site role based in Chandrapur, responsible for overseeing a group of branches within the assigned cluster. This role involves driving business growth, ensuring adherence to regulatory and internal policies, and maintaining high standards of customer service and operational efficiency. The Cluster Head will monitor branch performance, set targets, and support branch teams in achieving objectives across deposits, assets, and cross-selling of products. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing key metrics, guiding branch managers, implementing sales and outreach strategies, and coordinating with central teams on compliance, audit, and risk management. The role also requires mentoring and developing staff, fostering an inclusive and performance-oriented culture, and representing the bank in local market and community initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience overseeing multiple teams or branches.
- Proven expertise in retail banking operations, branch management, and customer service.
- Experience in business development, sales planning, and achieving financial targets.
- Sound understanding of regulatory guidelines, risk management, and compliance in the banking sector.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to analyze performance data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification or MBA is an advantage.
- Prior experience in a similar supervisory or regional/cluster role within banking or financial services is preferred.
- Comfort working in community-focused and socially driven banking environments, with willingness to engage in local market development.
