Role Description The Cluster Credit Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Kanpur/Jhasi Area, responsible for overseeing credit operations across multiple branches or locations within the cluster. The role involves evaluating loan proposals, assessing creditworthiness of micro and small enterprise customers, and ensuring adherence to internal credit policies and regulatory guidelines. The Cluster Credit Manager is expected to analyze financial statements and cash flows, identify and mitigate credit risks, and maintain portfolio quality through regular monitoring and review. The position also includes supporting branch teams with credit decisions, conducting field visits where needed, providing training on credit processes, and collaborating with operations and collections teams to ensure efficient and transparent credit delivery. The role requires timely reporting on key credit metrics and contributing to continuous improvement of credit assessment frameworks.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Credit Management and Credit Risk Management to evaluate loan applications and maintain a healthy portfolio.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills and a good understanding of Finance to interpret financial data and assess borrower viability.
- Candidates should possess practical experience and knowledge in Credit operations, including policy implementation and regulatory compliance.
- Relevant skills such as knowledge of MSME lending, familiarity with NBFC processes, and understanding of rural and semi-urban markets are beneficial.
- A graduate degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred; professional certifications in credit or risk management are an advantage.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership abilities, along with readiness to travel within the cluster as required.
