Job details:
Company Description Indnord helps enterprises transform into intelligent digital ecosystems that are cloud-native, data-driven, and security-first. The company focuses on modern cloud platforms that enable scalable, resilient, and automated business solutions. Indnord partners with organizations to design and implement architectures that leverage data and analytics for better decision-making. Security-by-design and continuous innovation are core principles in its approach to delivering technology services, making it an environment suited for professionals interested in advanced cloud and platform engineering.
Role Description The Cloud Platform Architect will design, build, and optimize cloud-native platform architectures that support enterprise applications and services. In this full-time hybrid role based in Bengaluru, the architect will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define solution architectures, select appropriate cloud services, and ensure secure, scalable, and compliant implementations, with some work from home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating reference architectures, guiding software development teams on best practices, leading integration efforts between systems and services, and overseeing system architecture documentation. The role also involves conducting architecture reviews, performance and cost optimization, implementing security and governance controls, and providing technical mentorship to engineering teams.
Qualifications
- Strong Solution Architecture and Architecture skills for designing cloud-native, scalable, and secure platforms.
- System Architecture and Integration experience to connect applications, services, and data across complex environments.
- Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (preferably AWS, Azure) including infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and container/orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of security, networking, and identity management in cloud environments, including best practices for compliance, observability, and resilience.
- Define and govern Azure/AWS landing zone architecture aligned with Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework for Azure/AWS, including management groups, subscriptions, policies, and environment segregation (Dev/Test/Prod), and the equivalent AWS constructs of AWS Organizations, Control Tower, Organizational Units (OUs), member accounts, and Service Control Policies (SCPs).
- Architect and implement enterprise-scale Azure/AWS platform topology, ensuring scalability, cost optimization, and alignment with organizational hierarchy and compliance requirements.
- Design robust identity and access architecture using Microsoft Entra ID, Managed Identities, and least-privilege RBAC/ABAC models, including Privileged Identity Management (PIM), alongside AWS IAM, IAM Identity Center, IAM roles, and permission boundaries.
- Establish secure and scalable networking architecture leveraging VNets, hub-and-spoke / virtual WAN models, private endpoints, service endpoints, DNS architecture, and hybrid connectivity (ExpressRoute/VPN), and the AWS equivalents of VPCs, Transit Gateway, PrivateLink, Route 53, and Direct Connect/Site-to-Site VPN.
- Define and enforce cloud governance and security controls using Azure Policy, Azure Blueprints (or alternatives), and Defender for Cloud, together with AWS Config, Service Control Policies, Security Hub, and GuardDuty, to ensure compliance, auditability, and risk mitigation.
- Build and maintain enterprise-grade Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, including reusable modules for networking, identity, compute, storage, and shared services.
- Implement platform observability and reliability patterns using Azure Monitor/ AWS CloudWatch, Log Analytics, Application Insights, AWS CloudTrail and X-Ray, and alerting strategies aligned with SRE practices.
- Enable secure application connectivity patterns, including private PaaS access, API management integration, service endpoints, and zero-trust architecture principles.
- Collaborate with security, compliance, and engineering stakeholders to align platform architecture with enterprise governance, regulatory requirements, and FinOps practices.
- Provide reference architectures, reusable blueprints, and accelerators to internal teams and partners, ensuring consistent, production-ready deployments.
- Support delivery teams with architecture reviews, design validations, and best practices for Azure and AWS-native and hybrid workloads.
- Define Cloud (AWS/ Azure) platform topology including management groups, subscriptions, and environment isolation.
- Design and implement identity architecture using Azure Managed Identities and least‑privilege RBAC models.
- Establish secure networking patterns using VNets, private endpoints, and private connectivity.
- Create and maintain reusable Terraform modules for core platform components (networking, identity, security, shared services).
- Ability to work in a hybrid setup in Bengaluru, collaborate effectively with diverse teams, and communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; prior experience as a cloud architect or platform engineer is highly beneficial.
