Role Overview
Moresco is looking for an experienced Data Architect to design and lead enterprise data architecture across AWS and multiple business applications. The candidate should have strong hands-on experience in AWS data services, data modelling, ETL/ELT and data integration, with a good understanding of data structures from enterprise systems such as SAP, CRM platforms (e.g., Zoho),3rd party data sources (API) and other business applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end data architecture covering data ingestion, storage, transformation, processing and consumption on AWS.
- Architect scalable data lakes/data platforms using Amazon S3, AWS Glue, PySpark, Athena, Redshift and related AWS services.
- Design and review ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and semi-structured data from SAP, CRM and other enterprise applications.
- Strong understanding of data modelling, relationships, schemas, master data, data mapping and data transformation across heterogeneous source systems.
- Develop and optimize data processing solutions using AWS Glue, PySpark, Python and SQL.
- Define data quality, governance, security, lineage and integration standards.
- Work with business and technical teams to translate requirements into logical and physical data architectures.
- Guide data engineering teams and review solution designs, pipelines and data models.
Required Skills
- 10+ years of experience in Data Architecture / Data Engineering.
- Strong experience in AWS Data Architecture and AWS data services.
- Hands-on expertise in AWS Glue, Py Spark, S3 and SQL.
- Strong understanding of Data Lake / Data Warehouse architecture and data modelling.
- Experience integrating data from SAP (ECC/S/4HANA/HANA preferred), CRM/business applications such as Zoho and API data sources.
- Strong understanding of enterprise data structures, data relationships, transformation and reconciliation.
- Good communication skills with the ability to work with business stakeholders, architects and engineering teams.
Good to Have: AWS certification, Redshift/Athena/Lake Formation, API-based integrations, CDC/data migration and experience with BI/reporting platforms.
