Role Description The Project Architect role at Jadro Steel LLP is a full-time, on-site position based in Kolkata. The Project Architect will be responsible for leading architectural design for pre-fabricated steel structures, preparing and reviewing drawings and specifications, and coordinating with internal design, engineering, and fabrication teams. Daily activities include managing project documentation and submittals, ensuring compliance with building codes and client requirements, and integrating sustainable and efficient design principles where applicable. The role involves collaborating with contractors and consultants, monitoring project progress and quality, and participating in site visits to resolve design and construction issues. The Project Architect will contribute to design optimization, cost-effective solutions, and timely delivery of projects across industrial, commercial, and infrastructure sectors.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Architecture, including architectural design, detailing, and coordination for steel and prefabricated structures.
- Proficiency in Project Management, including planning, scheduling, stakeholder coordination, and tracking deliverables.
- Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools and workflows for design, visualization, and documentation.
- Knowledge of Submittals processes, including preparation, review, and approval of drawings and technical documents.
- Understanding of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) or equivalent sustainable design standards.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution; professional registration or licensure is an advantage.
- Familiarity with relevant building codes, structural design considerations, and industrial/commercial project requirements.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with design, engineering, and site teams.
- Proficiency in CAD and architectural design software; experience with steel structure design tools is beneficial.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
