Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Civil Tendering and Estimation professional based in New Delhi. The role involves preparing detailed cost estimates and BOQs for civil and structural projects, including high-rise buildings, bridges, and infrastructure works. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing drawings and specifications, conducting quantity take-offs, evaluating material and labor requirements, and coordinating with procurement and engineering teams for accurate pricing. The position also requires preparing tender documents and technical proposals, reviewing contract conditions, tracking ongoing bids, and supporting negotiations with clients and vendors. The professional will collaborate closely with project managers, maintain updated costing databases, and ensure that all estimations align with company standards, safety norms, and client expectations.
Qualifications
- Strong civil engineering fundamentals, including knowledge of structural systems, construction methodologies, and material specifications.
- Proficiency in tendering and estimation processes, including quantity surveying, rate analysis, and preparation of BOQs and cost breakdowns.
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, technical specifications, and contract documents.
- Comfort with relevant software tools such as MS Excel, estimation and tendering software, and basic CAD or BIM tools.
- Understanding of industry standards, safety regulations, and quality norms for steel structures, bridges, and infrastructure projects.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy in calculations.
- Effective communication and coordination abilities for working with internal teams, vendors, and clients.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related discipline; prior experience in civil tendering/estimation for industrial or infrastructure projects is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in New Delhi and manage multiple tenders and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
