Role Description The Civil Structural Engineer will work closely with architects and designers to develop structural solutions that support custom residential and renovation projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing structural analysis, preparing civil and structural design calculations, reviewing drawings, and ensuring that designs comply with relevant codes and standards. The role involves coordinating with project teams, providing technical input during design reviews, and supporting project management activities such as scheduling and documentation. This is a full-time remote role, requiring regular virtual collaboration and clear communication with internal teams and external partners.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Civil Engineering and Structural Engineering, with the ability to apply core engineering principles to residential and interior-focused projects.
- Proficiency in Civil Engineering Design and Structural Analysis, including preparation of design calculations, load assessments, and structural detailing.
- Experience with Project Management in an engineering context, including coordination with multidisciplinary teams, tracking progress, and managing documentation.
- Familiarity with relevant building codes, standards, and construction practices, particularly for residential and small-scale commercial structures.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote setting, with strong communication, time management, and collaboration skills.
- Experience using structural design and analysis software (e.g., STAAD, ETABS, SAP2000) and CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) is beneficial.
- Prior experience in residential construction, renovations, or architectural collaboration is an advantage.
