Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Civil Engineer role based in Chennai. The Civil Engineer will manage day-to-day project activities, including designing structural and civil works, preparing drawings and specifications, and coordinating with project managers, site supervisors, and contractors. Responsibilities include planning project phases, performing site inspections, monitoring construction progress, and ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The role also involves overseeing stormwater and drainage systems, resolving technical issues on site, and preparing reports and documentation for approvals and project tracking. The Civil Engineer will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.
Qualifications
- Civil Engineering Design and Civil Engineering skills, with the ability to develop practical and compliant project designs.
- Experience working as Civil Engineers in construction or infrastructure projects, including coordination with on-site teams.
- Planning skills for organizing project activities, sequencing work, and managing resources effectively.
- Knowledge of Stormwater Management, drainage design, and related local regulations and standards.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Proficiency in CAD and civil engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, STAAD or similar tools).
- Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, safety practices, and quality control procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work on-site and coordinate with diverse stakeholders.
- Relevant professional certifications or local licenses in civil engineering are an advantage.
