Role Description The Chinese Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking momos, dim sums, shumais, and other Chinese-style dishes according to Zomoz’s recipes and quality standards. Day-to-day tasks include ingredient preparation, dough and filling production, steaming and other cooking methods, plate presentation, and maintaining cleanliness of the workstation and equipment. The role also involves following food safety and hygiene guidelines, supporting inventory management, and coordinating with the kitchen team to ensure timely order fulfillment. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Hyderabad, requiring flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and peak hours as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience in Chinese or pan-Asian cooking, specifically in preparing momos, dim sums, and related dishes.
- Strong knowledge of basic cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen hygiene practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced QSR environment, manage multiple orders, and maintain consistency in taste and presentation.
- Team-oriented attitude, clear communication skills, and willingness to follow standardized recipes and procedures.
- Prior experience in commercial kitchens or QSR outlets is preferred; formal culinary training is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, handle kitchen equipment safely, and work flexible shifts.
