Job details:
Chief Technology Officer | Cybersecurity | Mumbai
Most CTO roles hand you an estate to maintain. This one hands you a blank sheet and asks what you would build.
I am running a confidential search for an established global technology services business with a significant India footprint, working across cybersecurity, cloud, data and AI.
Here is why it is worth a conversation.
You would be the final technical word. Highest authority across security architecture, security operations and service design. Not one voice among several.
You would build rather than inherit. New services, platforms and IP taken from idea to market with real revenue attached. If you have spent years watching good ideas die in someone else's roadmap, this is the antidote.
You would stay technical. They want someone who can still sit in an architecture review and change the outcome.
You would have the executive team's ear. Direct line to leadership, front of house with CISOs and CIOs, and a seat in the pursuits that matter.
The technical estate
Managed security operations and SOC transformation. MDR and XDR. Cloud security across the major hyperscalers. Identity, including IAM and PAM. Data security. OT and IoT security. Threat intelligence. Application security and DevSecOps. Zero Trust architecture.
Plus the part that is genuinely open: AI-driven security operations. Agentic detection and response, automation of the analyst tier, and building cyber resilience offerings around it. That work is being defined now rather than maintained, and whoever takes this role gets to define it.
Who it suits
Eighteen years plus, eight of them in senior technology leadership, out of a cybersecurity services firm, MSSP, large integrator or security consultancy. Deep in enterprise security architecture, cloud platforms and managed services commercial models. Credible designing technology accelerators, reusable assets and frameworks rather than only consuming them. An entrepreneur's instinct with an engineer's credibility.
If that is where you are trying to get to, I would be glad to talk. Entirely confidential, and I run the process myself from first call through to offer.
