Role Description The Chemical Process Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Kochi, responsible for designing, optimizing, and overseeing chemical processes for herbal extracts and nutraceutical products. Day-to-day activities include developing and reviewing process flow diagrams, specifying equipment and operating conditions, and ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant production. The role involves monitoring process performance, implementing process control strategies, troubleshooting issues, and driving continuous improvement in yield, quality, energy use, and sustainability. The Chemical Process Engineer will collaborate closely with R&D, production, quality assurance, and maintenance teams to scale up new formulations, validate processes, and support technology transfer across facilities. The position also requires preparing technical documentation, supporting regulatory and safety audits, and contributing to innovation projects aligned with Arjuna Natural’s scientific and environmental goals.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Chemical Process Engineering and Process Engineering, with experience in industrial-scale operations.
- Candidates should possess skills in Process Design and Process Control, including developing process parameters, control strategies, and optimization methods.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of the Chemical Industry, particularly in nutraceuticals, fine chemicals, or herbal extraction, and relevant safety and regulatory practices.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Experience with process simulation tools, data analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean) is beneficial.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.
