Role Description
Position: Certified Trainer – Healthcare (Home Health Aide Trainee)
This is a full-time, on-site position based at our DDU-GKY 2.0 Training Centre in Unnao, Uttar Pradesh.
The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality classroom and practical training to Home Health Aide Trainees in accordance with the Healthcare Sector Skill Council (HSSC) Qualification Pack (QP), National Occupational Standards (NOS), and DDU-GKY 2.0 guidelines.
The trainer will conduct theory and practical sessions covering patient care, infection control, hygiene, elderly care, home-based healthcare support, basic nursing assistance, first aid, and healthcare ethics. The role also includes preparing lesson plans and training materials, maintaining attendance and assessment records, evaluating trainee performance, providing mentoring and feedback, and ensuring trainees are fully prepared for certification assessments and employment opportunities.
The trainer will coordinate with the Centre Manager, Project Team, and Quality Team to ensure compliance with DDU-GKY 2.0 operational guidelines, maintain accurate documentation, and continuously improve training quality and learning outcomes.
Qualifications
Educational Qualification
- Graduate/Diploma in Nursing, Healthcare, Allied Health Sciences, General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM), B.Sc. Nursing, ANM, or any other relevant healthcare discipline.
Mandatory Certification
- Valid Trainer Certification issued by the Healthcare Sector Skill Council (HSSC) or an equivalent Trainer Certification recognized by NSDC/concerned Awarding Body.
Experience
- Minimum 1–3 years of relevant experience in Healthcare Training or the Healthcare Industry.
- Experience in delivering training for Home Health Aide (HHA) or related healthcare job roles is preferred.
- Experience in DDU-GKY, PMKVY, NAPS, or other Government Skill Development Projects will be an added advantage.
Technical Competencies
- Strong knowledge of Home Health Aide practices, including:
- Personal care and patient assistance
- Basic nursing support
- Elderly and bedridden patient care
- Infection prevention and control
- Patient safety and emergency response
- Basic First Aid and CPR
- Healthcare ethics and professional conduct
Skills Required
- Excellent communication, presentation, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to develop lesson plans, training content, and assessment materials.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and digital training tools.
- Ability to motivate and mentor trainees from diverse educational and social backgrounds.
- Willingness to work full-time from the training centre in Unnao, Uttar Pradesh.
