Key Responsibilities
- Installation & Commissioning:
Install and configure various components of fire alarm and CCTV systems, including smoke detectors, security cameras, panels, and related hardware.
- System Programming (Not Mandatory)
Perform programming of fire alarm panels, control systems, and CCTV software to meet project specifications and client requirements.
- Troubleshooting & Maintenance:
Diagnose and resolve issues within installed systems, perform routine maintenance, and conduct regular inspections to ensure optimal performance and readiness.
Conduct site assessments to determine the most effective placement and integration of security and fire safety equipment.
Ensure seamless integration between CCTV, fire alarm, access control, and other security systems.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of all installations, maintenance activities, system configurations, and service calls.
Provide training to clients on system operation and conduct explanations of system functionality.
Actively participate in value engineering efforts and stay updated on new products, technologies, and best practices in fire and security systems.
Generate reports on system status, maintenance activities, and any incidents or system malfunctions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Comprehensive knowledge of CCTV, access control, fire alarm systems (including addressable and conventional types), and related low-voltage components.
- Software & Hardware Proficiency:
Experience with installing, configuring, and troubleshooting specialized software and hardware for various brands of CCTV and fire alarm systems.
Hands-on experience with low-voltage wiring, system programming, and system integration.
- Problem-Solving Abilities:
Strong analytical and diagnostic skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
Ability to communicate effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
An engineering or technical background, often with a diploma OR ITI in electronics, electrical engineering, or a related field, is beneficial.
