Role Description The Carpenter role at Bhatia Brothers is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The Carpenter will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing wooden structures and fixtures, including framing, doors, windows, cabinets, and other interior and exterior elements. Daily tasks include reading and interpreting drawings or work instructions, measuring and cutting materials, assembling structures, and performing finish carpentry work to meet quality and safety standards. The role involves the safe and efficient use of hand tools and power tools, collaborating with site supervisors and other trades, and maintaining a clean, organized work area. The Carpenter is expected to follow company safety procedures, adhere to project timelines, and contribute to high-quality workmanship on all assigned jobs.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Carpentry, including basic and advanced woodworking skills.
- Proficiency in Framing and structural woodwork for residential, commercial, or industrial projects.
- Skilled use of Hand Tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, and measuring instruments.
- Experience with Power Tools including drills, sanders, nail guns, and cutting equipment.
- Competence in Finish Carpentry, including trim work, fitting doors and windows, and detailed interior installations.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, measurements, and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of safety standards and best practices on construction sites.
- Prior experience as a Carpenter or in a similar trade role; vocational training or certification in carpentry is an advantage.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, standing, and working in various site conditions.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
