Role Description The Caller role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. The Caller will handle inbound and outbound phone calls, including appointment scheduling, follow-up calls, and responding to patient inquiries in a clear and courteous manner. Daily tasks include verifying patient information, updating records in hospital systems, and coordinating with clinical and administrative staff to ensure accurate communication. The role involves providing basic information on hospital services, routing calls to the appropriate departments, and escalating urgent issues to relevant team members. The Caller is expected to maintain confidentiality, adhere to hospital protocols, and deliver professional, empathetic customer service at all times.
Qualifications
- Strong verbal communication skills in English and local languages, with clear and professional phone etiquette.
- Ability to work in a hospital environment, demonstrating empathy, patience, and respect in all patient interactions.
- Basic computer literacy, including experience with data entry, call logging, and using hospital or CRM software.
- Attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to follow procedures and maintain accurate records.
- Capability to manage multiple calls, prioritize tasks, and remain calm in a busy or stressful environment.
- Prior experience in customer service, call center operations, or healthcare administration is an advantage.
- Minimum educational qualification: high school diploma or equivalent; additional training in communication or healthcare support is beneficial.
