Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Specialist role based in Kochi. The specialist will identify and develop new business opportunities, generate leads, and build a sustainable pipeline across target markets. Daily responsibilities include conducting market research, analyzing customer and industry trends, and preparing proposals and presentations for prospective clients. The role involves maintaining strong relationships with existing customers, coordinating with operations and customer service teams, and ensuring that client needs are translated into effective logistics solutions. The specialist will also track performance metrics, provide regular sales reports, and contribute to strategic initiatives to expand the company’s presence in key regions.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and Market Research capabilities to identify opportunities and assess industry trends.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to build and maintain effective client relationships.
- Candidates should possess Lead Generation experience and a results-oriented approach to developing and managing a sales pipeline.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in basic business software tools (e.g., CRM systems, spreadsheets, presentation software) and strong organizational skills.
- Relevant experience in logistics, shipping, or freight forwarding business development is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and adapt in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
