Position: Business Development Manager

About the Role
We are looking for a Business Development Manager to drive new customer acquisition, develop new business opportunities, and expand our presence in the engineering plastics and polymer industry.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and develop new customers in automotive, electrical & electronics, appliances, lighting, consumer products and other relevant industries.
* Generate new business through market mapping, cold calling, references, exhibitions and customer visits.
* Understand customer applications and identify suitable polymer grades/material solutions.
* Develop new opportunities from initial enquiry → sample → trial → approval → commercial order.
* Maintain regular visits and strong relationships with customers.
* Prepare quotations and negotiate pricing within company guidelines.
* Track competitors, market prices, customer requirements and new applications.
* Coordinate with R&D, technical, quality, purchase and sales teams for customer development.
* Maintain complete customer and opportunity records in Zoho CRM.
* Follow up on outstanding payments and coordinate with the accounts team for collections.
* Prepare weekly/monthly business development reports and sales forecasts.
* Achieve assigned sales, new customer, development and collection targets.

Candidate Profile
* 3–7 years of experience in engineering plastics, polymer compounds, masterbatch, plastics processing or related B2B industry.
* Strong knowledge of polymer applications and customer requirements.
* Good communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
* Willingness to travel for customer visits.
* Strong commercial understanding and target-oriented approach.
* Experience dealing with OEMs, Tier-1/Tier-2 companies, moulders or plastics processors will be preferred.
* Ability to independently develop business from lead generation to commercial conversion.
