Role Description The Business Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurugram, responsible for driving growth and strengthening IndiaFirst Life’s presence in assigned markets. This role involves identifying and developing new business opportunities, managing relationships with distribution partners, and expanding the customer base for life insurance products. The Business Development Manager will track sales performance, prepare reports, and collaborate with internal teams to design and implement sales strategies aligned with organizational goals. Day-to-day activities include meeting revenue and productivity targets, conducting market research, organizing customer and partner meetings, and ensuring high-quality service delivery. The role also involves training and supporting channel partners, promoting digital tools, and maintaining compliance with regulatory and company policies.
Qualifications
- Strong business development and sales skills, including pipeline management, negotiation, and closing deals.
- Experience in relationship management with channel partners, corporate clients, or financial institutions.
- Knowledge of life insurance products, financial services, or related domains; prior insurance industry experience is an advantage.
- Analytical and planning abilities, including market analysis, forecasting, and performance reporting.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Ability to work on-site in Gurugram, manage field activities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification (MBA or equivalent) is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office and digital tools for sales, CRM, and reporting, with a comfort in using technology-driven solutions.
