About Epic
Epic Content & Design LLP is an integrated marketing and creative agency working with businesses, large corporates and government organisations. Our services include branding, design, content, social media, performance marketing, websites, films, photography and experiential campaigns.
We are looking for an experienced business development professional who can identify opportunities, start meaningful conversations and bring new clients to the agency.
You should already understand how to prospect for and sell marketing services to SMEs and large organisations. Proposal development and LinkedIn prospecting are essential skills for this role.
What you will do
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities among SMEs and large corporate clients.
• Research target companies, understand their marketing needs and identify relevant decision-makers.
• Build a consistent prospecting pipeline through LinkedIn, email, calls, referrals and professional networks.
• Use LinkedIn effectively to find prospects, personalise outreach, initiate conversations and secure meetings.
• Lead discovery meetings to understand client objectives, budgets, timelines and buying processes.
• Develop tailored proposals, pitch presentations and commercial offers with inputs from our creative and delivery teams.
• Translate agency capabilities into clear business benefits for prospective clients.
• Own opportunities from first contact through pitching, negotiation and closure.
• Maintain accurate prospect records, follow-up schedules and sales forecasts in a CRM or shared tracker.
• Coordinate a clear handover to the account and delivery teams after a deal is closed.
• Work towards agreed targets for qualified opportunities, new clients and revenue.
What we are looking for
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in business development or sales of marketing, advertising, creative or digital services.
• A demonstrated record of acquiring new clients through your own prospecting efforts.
• Experience selling to SMEs and an understanding of longer sales cycles and stakeholder approvals in large organisations.
• Strong practical experience with LinkedIn prospecting and personalised outreach.
• Ability to independently prepare clear, persuasive proposals and pitch presentations.
• Confidence in client meetings, commercial discussions, negotiation and closing.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Understanding of agency services, project scopes, retainers and commercial models.
• Consistent follow-up habits and the ability to manage several opportunities at different stages.
Additional strengths
• Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator and CRM tools.
• Experience responding to RFPs or participating in corporate pitches.
• An established professional network relevant to marketing services.
• Familiarity with vendor onboarding and procurement processes.
How success will be measured
Success will be measured through qualified opportunities created, proposals progressed, new clients won and profitable revenue generated. Outreach activity matters when it leads to meaningful business conversations and closures.
What to include in your application
Please share an updated CV highlighting the marketing services you have sold, the types of clients you have acquired and your personal contribution to winning those accounts. Shortlisted candidates may be asked to discuss a prospecting approach and share a redacted proposal sample.
