Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Billing Head – AGM to lead the overall hospital billing and revenue cycle function. The role will be responsible for ensuring billing accuracy, revenue realization, process efficiency, compliance, MIS reporting, audits, and effective coordination with Insurance/TPA and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the end-to-end hospital billing operations.
- Ensure accurate and timely billing for IP, OP, procedures, surgeries, diagnostics, pharmacy, and other hospital services.
- Oversee revenue cycle management and identify opportunities to improve revenue realization.
- Establish and monitor billing processes, SOPs, controls, and quality standards.
- Ensure accurate application of tariffs, packages, discounts, approvals, and billing rules.
- Coordinate with Insurance companies, TPAs, corporate clients, and other payers for billing and claim-related matters.
- Monitor claim submission, rejection, pending cases, deductions, and outstanding receivables.
- Identify billing errors, revenue leakages, and process gaps and implement corrective actions.
- Lead regular billing audits and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and review MIS reports, revenue reports, collection reports, outstanding reports, and management dashboards.
- Work closely with Finance, Accounts, Medical Administration, Front Office, Insurance/TPA, and Hospital Operations teams.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, contractual requirements, and applicable billing procedures.
- Handle escalations related to billing discrepancies, patient queries, insurance approvals, and claim issues.
- Lead, train, and monitor the performance of the billing team.
- Drive process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency within the billing function.
- Present billing and revenue performance updates to senior management.
