Role Description The Billing Engineer is a full-time role based in Mumbai with a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site coordination with some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and verifying Bills of Quantities (BOQ), performing quantity take-offs, and ensuring accurate billing for construction and redevelopment projects. The role involves conducting rate analysis, coordinating with project teams and contractors to validate work quantities, and maintaining up-to-date billing records in relevant systems. The Billing Engineer will also review project documents and drawings, support budgeting and cost control efforts, and assist in resolving billing discrepancies to ensure timely payments and clear documentation. Collaboration with site engineers, project managers, and finance teams is essential to support transparent and efficient project execution.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Quantity Surveying and BOQ preparation skills, including detailed measurement and quantity take-off capabilities.
- Candidates should possess experience with Billing Systems and Rate Analysis, ensuring accurate cost calculations and timely invoicing.
- Candidates should possess robust Analytical Skills to interpret project data, evaluate variances, and support cost optimization.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in construction documentation, including reading drawings, understanding contracts, and aligning bills with project specifications.
- Relevant academic background such as a diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Experience in real estate, redevelopment, or infrastructure projects, preferably within Mumbai or similar urban environments.
- Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and ability to work with spreadsheets and estimation software.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to coordinate across site, office, and remote work settings.
