Role Description The Aviation Counselor is a full-time, on-site role based in Guwahati. The role involves meeting and counselling prospective candidates interested in aviation careers, explaining available training programs and job opportunities, and assessing eligibility based on education, communication skills, and professional readiness. The Aviation Counselor will guide candidates through profile development, documentation, and interview preparation, while maintaining accurate records of interactions and progress. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with training teams and recruitment partners, conducting information sessions, responding to candidate queries, and supporting candidates through the training-to-placement process. The position also requires proactive follow-up with candidates, participation in outreach or promotional activities, and contributing feedback to improve counseling and placement processes.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to counsel, motivate, and guide individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Candidates should possess skills in candidate assessment and counseling, such as evaluating eligibility, understanding career interests, and recommending suitable aviation roles or training paths.
- Candidates should possess basic administrative and organizational skills, including record-keeping, documentation handling, scheduling, and follow-up management.
- Candidates should possess customer service and relationship-building skills to create a professional, supportive experience for candidates and external partners.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in any discipline, especially in aviation, hospitality, management, or social sciences, would be beneficial.
- Prior experience in counseling, student advisory, aviation training, recruitment, or career services would be an advantage.
- Proficiency in English and local languages, along with a professional appearance, discipline, and willingness to work in a structured aviation environment, is preferred.
