Role Description The Automation Tester will work in a full-time, remote capacity, responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software solutions. Day-to-day tasks include designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts, as well as executing manual tests when needed to validate new features and regression scenarios. The role involves creating and documenting test cases, performing API testing, analyzing test results, and reporting defects clearly to development and product teams. The Automation Tester will collaborate closely with engineers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to refine requirements, improve test coverage, and support continuous integration and delivery. The position also includes contributing to testing best practices, optimizing test frameworks, and helping enhance overall product quality and performance.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Quality Assurance principles, including test planning, defect management, and software development life cycle understanding.
- Hands-on experience with Manual Testing and creating clear, comprehensive Test Cases for functional, regression, and integration testing.
- Practical experience in API Testing, using tools and frameworks to validate endpoints, data integrity, performance, and error handling.
- Proficiency in Automation, including building and maintaining automated test suites with common test frameworks and scripting or programming languages.
- Relevant experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and test management tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on reliability and scalability.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in remote, cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience testing enterprise or AI-driven applications is a plus, along with familiarity with agile methodologies.
