The team works closely with founders and leadership to diagnose how organisations function, identify friction and risk, and redesign operations so strategy can be executed consistently and at scale.
Role Description:
- The Australian Accountant & Tax Consultant is a full-time remote role responsible for providing end-to-end accounting and tax advisory support to Australian business clients.
- Day-to-day tasks include preparing and reviewing financial statements, managing general ledger entries, and ensuring accurate, timely reporting in line with Australian accounting standards.
- The role involves handling tax compliance obligations, preparing tax returns and BAS/IAS, advising on tax implications of business decisions, and monitoring changes in Australian tax legislation.
- The consultant will collaborate with internal consulting teams and client stakeholders to align financial and tax practices with broader operational and growth strategies.
- Additional responsibilities include responding to client queries, supporting audits or reviews, improving financial processes, and using cloud-based accounting tools to maintain efficient, compliant workflows.
Qualifications
- Strong accounting skills, including Accounting and Financial Statements preparation in accordance with Australian standards.
- Comprehensive tax expertise, including Tax, Tax Compliance, and Tax Preparation for Australian businesses.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CA/CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred.
- Experience working with Australian SMEs or high-growth businesses, ideally in consulting or advisory environments.
- Proficiency with cloud-based accounting and tax software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, and ATO online services).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial and tax information.
- Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to explain financial and tax concepts to non-specialist stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple client engagements, and meet deadlines reliably.
- Understanding of Australian corporate governance, compliance requirements, and risk management principles.
Work Mode & Hours:
In-office (Ahmedabad) for local candidates; remote for those based outside
Working hours aligned to AEST, Monday to Friday
