Job Overview
We are seeking an Audio Systems Application Engineer & Technical Trainer to lead technical training, pre-sales enablement, and project engineering for our international clients and global distribution partners.
In this dual-impact role, you will bridge the gap between complex audio engineering and commercial success. You will serve as the primary technical voice of XSCACE—delivering articulate, high-impact product training to international partners while crafting precise Bills of Quantities (BOQs), wiring schematics, and system designs for high-end residential and commercial integration projects.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Training & Enablement
- Plan and deliver comprehensive, engaging technical training modules for international distributors, dealers, and system integrators.
- Educate global partners on XSCACE product architecture, DSP tuning/configuration, acoustic principles, and installation best practices.
- Host live virtual webinars, technical workshops, and interactive product walkthroughs with flawless spoken English communication.
- Develop technical documentation, training decks, FAQs, and application notes to support international sales teams.
Pre-Sales Engineering & BOQ Design
- Review architectural floor plans, tender documents, and project specifications to design custom XSCACE audio layouts.
- Prepare accurate, line-item Bills of Quantities (BOQs), hardware quotes, and system architecture diagrams for complex projects.
- Advise clients on equipment selection, amplifier matching, power requirements, and multi-zone control integration.
- Partner with the international sales division to answer technical RFIs and assist in closing high-value commercial and luxury residential deals.
Technical Support & Partner Relations
- Serve as the Tier-2/Tier-3 technical expert for global client inquiries regarding system design, room calibration, and installation troubleshooting.
- Gather partner feedback and field insights to collaborate directly with our internal product and engineering teams.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience: 4–8+ years of experience in high-end audio engineering, AV system integration, pre-sales application engineering, or technical training within the professional AV/smart home industry.
- Domain Expertise: Deep knowledge of acoustic theory, loudspeaker design, DSP programming, power distribution, multi-zone audio systems, and architectural integration.
- Pre-Sales Proficiency: Proven track record in reading CAD/architectural blueprints and generating precise BOQs, project estimates, and system line drawings.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional, near-native command of spoken and written English, with the poise and confidence to present to international executive teams, integrators, and consultants.
- Industry Tools: Experience with software such as AutoCAD, Revit, EASE, SigmaStudio, or standard BOQ/CRM platforms is highly desirable.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Acoustics, Sound Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent hands-on experience).
